Ramayan star Dipika Chikhlia, renowned for her portrayal of Goddess Sita, has confirmed her invitation to the historic consecration ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22. Anticipating the event as a "new date for Diwali," Dipika expressed excitement about attending the grand ceremony along with Arun Govil, who played the role of Lord Ram in the iconic television show. The ceremony, set to be a momentous occasion, will see the consecration of the Ram Lalla idol, and the temple, sprawling across 70 acres, will be open to the public post the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led ritual.
Dipika Chikhlia, reflecting on her profound connection to Ramayan, shared her gratitude for playing Sita ji and emphasized the divine experience it brought into her life. Labeling January 22, 2024, as the "new date for Diwali," she urged everyone to welcome Lord Ram in a manner reminiscent of the Ayodhya celebrations.
